Where The Wild Things Wed
To Our Family and Friends,
We met on a catamaran on the Big Island of Hawaii—her living in Teton Valley and me in New York City at the time.
Well, technically, we had met over ten years prior, ever so briefly, on that same island. The first go-round in 2013, I turned to my friend after shaking Jackie’s hand at a party and asked, “Why are all the hot girls on the Big Island?” The 2023 go-round, after a week of getting to know each other at our shared friends’ wedding (Love you Lia and Juan!), I managed to tell her, “If you were to open a window, I’d jump right through it.”
True story.
A couple of months later, she opened that window. I jumped on a plane, and then... we both jumped.
Since that trip, the distance between us slowly but surely narrowed until it disappeared. For the past three years, Jackie, myself, and the queen of our universe—our silver lab, Remi—have split our lives right down the middle. We’ve spent the winters working remotely in the Tetons and the rest of our time in New York City. We even said "the hell with it" one year and stayed in the mountains through the summer. Both places have been home, and we’ve loved having the best of both worlds.
But when it came time to decide where to start our next chapter, we knew we wanted to bring everyone to the mountains that brought us together. We couldn’t be more excited for the year ahead. And the one after that. And the one after that.
We hope you’ll be able to help us kick off the first page this Labor Day in Idaho.
With love,
Tommy & Jackie
P.S. You’ll have to attend the wedding to hear Jackie’s side of the story.
